Valerie asked:

It’s New Year’s Eve and we are having steak and scallops. Before I go to the grocery store during my lunch hour – yes, some of us still work on New Year’s Eve – I figured I would think about what to make with it. I have no idea.

So, what are some suggestions on what to serve with a beef-and-seafood dinner? Recipes are welcome, as are appetizers. Thanks!
PS: Trying to avoid overly starchy side dishes. Also serving Asti.

Kyle

Steamed asparagus and light tossed salad. No potatoes, too heavy with the beef when it’s New Year’s Eve and you have a long night ahead of you.
