Azathoth asked:

The rest of my family is having salmon tonight, but I’m not a fish person, so on a whim, I got some steaks for myself and my boyfriend. Thing is, I’m not too good with faking recipes.

I’m set with some rosemary potatoes and string beans, but I don’t know what to do with this steak. I’m fond of a slab of medium-rare beef, and don’t want to be stuck with something too boring. I ended up getting it from Wal-Mart, so I don’t need to put any extra salt in.

What are some simple steak recipes? I’d rather not have to deal with broiling and cleaning the broiler pan later, but it’s not impossible.
